Scotland December 2011 – Epic winter storms
In the middle of the winter 2011 I spent a few days on Harris and Lewis, hoping to experience rough weather, and was not let down. The winter storms were subject-wise photographic bliss, but technically speaking very challenging: short days, often extremely poor light, rain and wind were conditions that for modern (high-end) cameras like my Fuji X-T system or my Sony a77II would be easy to handle, however for my camera back then (Sony a200) just, really just, manageable. But fortunately, the latest photo editing software allows me now to use pictures that would otherwise be lost for a decent presentation.
